Lisa LaGrande is proud to serve the NY theatrical community as a

Certified Intimacy Director.  She loves telling beautiful stories through physical movement and detailed intimacy work that is rooted in consent forward practices and collaboration. Whether you have an epic love to tell, a spicy moment in time between strangers, or a vulnerable point in storytelling, Lisa will strive to help your team shape and build those intimate stories with great care and dedication. Having started her career as an actor, she uses character work and text analysis to ensure the choreography is rooted in truth for the characters and the story, feels organic and comfortable for the actors, and uplifts the vision of the creative team. 

 

Her favorite theatrical  projects include: Romeo & Juliet (Tier5 Theatre Company), Echo by Amber Weissert, Velvet Rage by Moshe Hendersen, Verona Falls by Nadel Heneville, and United in Love, Until Death by Amanda Thomas. 

 

Lisa is also an accomplished Intimacy Coordinator having worked on such award winning Indie films as “Precious,” “Last Summer,” “SHE,” and the  “Dead-Enders” web series.
